Monday, June 15, 2020 is turning out to be unusually eventful for the NMR Facility. Not only are we partially reopening from the COVID-19 pandemic quarantine, but it’s our first day installing new equipment.

Today, Bruker engineer Lance Ballard is upgrading the autosampler on 400-1. Whereas it has been handling up 24 samples in its carousel, it will now be able to hold 60! This will mean a lot to the researchers who like to use it for running sets of samples, like when optimizing synthetic methodology.

BONUS: Our reliable 24-sample autosampler will be crossing the street and getting installed on 400-2, which is getting a new console and probe.
